Yuwa

Yuwa is a community-driven non-profit organization based in rural Jharkhand, India, dedicated to empowering girls through sports and education. Their work revolves around three interconnected programs: football, life-skills workshops, and an all-girls school, enabling girls to take charge of their futures and create lasting change in their lives.
In partnership with Yuwa, we work to support girls in growing stronger, both on and off the field. Every day, 650 girls come together to play football, learning teamwork, resilience, and courage. Girls are also being trained to pursue coaching as a career option. At Yuwa School, they are encouraged to dream big, with guidance and resources to prepare them for college and develop essential life skills.
By fostering a nurturing environment, we empower girls to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and gain access to the education needed to break free from poverty. This support also helps reduce the risks of child marriage and human trafficking in their communities. Girls who once faced limited opportunities are now equipped with the tools and self-assurance to shape their own futures.
