Basic HealthCare Services

Basic Healthcare Services (BHS) is a not-for-profit organization providing compassionate primary healthcare to underserved regions. Through six AMRIT Clinics in remote and rural Rajasthan, BHS addresses critical health challenges faced by a predominantly tribal population, where over 90% of families experience food scarcity and malnutrition. Alongside curative care delivered by qualified nurses and visiting physicians, BHS offers preventive and promotive healthcare through community health workers. They also runs Phulwaris—daycare centers that support children under five from migrant and remote households with nutrition and early stimulation.
In collaboration with BHS, we focus on improving maternal and child health in these marginalized communities. Together, we deliver comprehensive care during pregnancy and early childhood, including antenatal check-ups, safe deliveries, postnatal care, and malnutrition management. By utilizing AMRIT Clinics’ expertise and infrastructure, we ensure timely treatment of health issues while providing consistent support to mothers and newborns during critical stages. Additionally, Phulwaris play a vital role in promoting children’s well-being and development while easing the caregiving responsibilities of mothers, enabling them to pursue livelihoods and other opportunities.
This partnership is transforming the health and well-being of tribal families. By tackling malnutrition, childhood illnesses, and maternal health issues, we are fostering healthier communities. Our combined efforts provide the care and resources needed to break cycles of poor health and deprivation, paving the way for stronger, more resilient futures.
