Why Education?

Sachin Tendulkar has always drawn inspiration from the life and values of his father, the late Professor Ramesh Tendulkar. As a young boy, he watched his father traverse Mumbai to teach students who lacked resources, driven by the belief that education is not just a right but a necessity. This unwavering dedication left a profound impact on Tendulkar, instilling in him the belief that holistic education holds the key to transforming a nation’s future. It is this conviction that led us to make education one of the core pillars of our Foundation’s mission.
